One of a kind vintage Art Deco Theater Washington,DC porcelain over steel sign in as found condition, Massive sign measuring about 8′ in diameter from the Apex Theater, 48th Street and Massachusetts Avenue NW back in the 1940’s. The Apex Theater was a beautifully designed streamlined modern style movie house designed by renowned architect John Zink. Opening for business on November 20, 1940 with Don Ameche in “Down Argentine Way”. You will never find another. Excellent shape and beautifully designed. Found in a Baltimore Estate where it was used as a “head board” for the past 40 years. Easy to transport as it comes in 3 sections………
